Not one forum in Knightdale, Wendell, or Zebulon the forgotten East Wake? This concerns me deeply.

1. What was the initial purpose of year round schools?
2. Do year round schools save money?
3. Have year-round calendars improved student achievement in Knightdale's elementary schools? East Wake Middle?

Our demographics are not the same as Cary, Holly Springs, Wake Forest, or Raleigh. A regional forum that does not address these issues specific to Eastern Wake's students feels like a failure. Now the question is...is this a failure by our new School Board or worse are we failing as a community to advocate for our children? I believe it might be a little of both, and appreciative of this blog as a forum for our community voice!

The closest location to Knightdale is 11 miles away. There is nothing on this side. I also feel forgotten.
